Hi, my name is Yonah. I'm 21 years old. After saving up for roughly a year or two, I quit my desk job in New Jersey. Then, on May 20, 2014, I flew to Bangkok, Thailand. I will be staying in Thailand for a couple of months, then traveling to other countries in Southeast Asia, namely: Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam. However, I have decided to plan out very few aspects of my travels. I'll just see where life takes me.
It's my eventual goal to become a film director, but I won't say no to making an album as well. Maybe sometime you will get to hear one of my songs. I'm traveling with just one backpack and a guitar, and plan on taking full advantage of this personal time to create music, take photographs, and reflect on my life. I hope this blog will prove to be helpful for both me and you. By writing I will: A) Get things off my chest and organize my thoughts, B) Provide interesting and educational posts about various areas, and travel in general, C) Extol the benefits of travel, explaining why it is absolutely worthwhile. It is also an outlet for my photography, which you will be seeing a lot of. Although I've only been in Thailand for about a week so far, many, many exciting things have happened to me. I've drastically changed my eating, sleeping, and living habits and met countless people of different nationalities. In fact, I will keep a running tally of nationalities on this blog, each time I meet someone from a different country! I was also scammed my second day here, a story which you will get to read about if you stick around. In fact, the name of this blog, Lucky Buddha, has to do with that story. So here's to life, love, and more blog posts!
